Today we had our competition day at Rick Hansen S. School in Mississigua. We arrived with everything in working order and then when we tested it on the competition table we found out that since we had tested the robot on the table back here at E-Bots so much it had worn down the nap on the tables and we had to go and so we had to make some adjustments to cnage to the tables in the competition. We did really well in the judging rooms and had fun with our presentations, especially the core value room where we had to build somehting from a roll of pennies and a post it pad, so we built a "camping" scene with a tree, tent and a fire. There were a lot of rookie teams there and so we tried to encourage as much as we could, and gave advice to their robots, our coach john spent a lot of time offering advice to other coaches. We decided to do a workshop at our facility for rookie teams over the holidays. We got 3 call backs to the judges and tey went ok and then we won the 1st place robot performance with 265 points and the champions award with 1st place to provincials. Now EBots has 3 teams to go to provincials!
